Five digits.
One way to read
a chart.

People post one chart and what they read in it. 1‑2‑3‑0‑6 is what we look for — market type, two legs, three pushes, zero bias, six bars — and it is how every read here is tagged.

One session, five lessons A 52-bar candlestick sequence containing a trading range, a strong breakout, a two-legged pullback with a double bottom, a three-push wedge, three trend bars that flip the always-in direction, and a six-bar exhaustion move.

The same sequence contains all five ideas. Choose a digit and the bars it refers to stay lit; the rest go quiet.

The number

What the number means

1

One market, two types

High 1 — and the only two markets there are

A strong breakout and a trading range are the two market types that matter, and deciding which one you are in comes before every other decision on the chart. In a breakout, the first pullback is the High 1: the cheapest entry you will get in a move that does not want to give you one. In a range, that same pullback is a fade, not an entry.

2

Always look for two legs

One leg is a pause. Two legs is a pullback.

Markets move in pairs. A pullback that has only put in one leg is usually not finished, and the trader who buys it is early. Wait for the second leg — and when the second leg stops at the same price as the first, you are looking at a double bottom or a double top, which is the same idea drawn sideways.

3

Three pushes, three bars

The wedge, and the bars that flip the market

Three pushes in the same direction is a wedge — the most reliable reversal shape on the chart, and just as often a wedge flag that carries the trend further. The other three is a count: three strong consecutive trend bars are enough to change the always‑in direction. Whatever you believed before those three bars, you now believe the other thing.

0

Zero bias

Trade what is in front of you

No pre‑assumption. No forecast you need to defend. The chart does not know what you want, and the moment you need it to go one way you stop seeing the bars that say otherwise. Be objective. Every bar is allowed to be the one that proves you wrong — the zero is what lets you notice it.

6

Six is exhaustion

Every trend ends. Count the bars.

Six strong consecutive trend bars looks like the strongest thing on the chart and is often the weakest. It is where the last buyer buys and the last seller covers, which means there is nobody left to push. Strength this obvious is usually exhaustion, and what follows is a pullback — sometimes the reversal itself.

The house rules

What every post has

One chart

Not four. The read has to survive on a single image.

The market type first

Breakout or range, stated before anything else in the post.

The digits it shows

Tag it. That is how the archive is organised and how anyone finds it again.

The bar you would have acted on

Marked on the chart, not described vaguely afterwards.

What happened next

Including — especially — when it went the other way.

No P&L

No account screenshots, no percentages, no track records. Ever.

The chart owes you nothing. Read it anyway.

PA12306 started as five digits written at the top of a trading journal — a reminder of the only questions worth asking before clicking. Market type. Second leg. Third push. My bias. Bar count.

It is a place to put a chart and say what you saw in it. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy, and no claim about what anyone earns. Post a read, tag it with the digits it shows, and let the bars argue with you.

Straight answers

Questions, answered plainly

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing behind a login. Reads arrive by email and go up as pages anyone can open.

Can I post here?

Yes. Send a chart and your read to reads@pa12306.com. If it follows the house rules it goes up — whether or not we agree with it.

Is this a signal service?

No. Every post reads a chart that has already happened. Nobody here will tell you what to buy, and nothing here is a recommendation.

Why is there no P&L anywhere?

Because a chart read is checkable and a P&L claim is not. You can look at the same bars and decide whether the read holds. You cannot do that with a number in a screenshot.

Which markets show up here?

Mostly liquid index futures on intraday charts, where the patterns are cleanest — but anything with clean bars is welcome. The bars change size, not meaning.

Why 12306?

Because it is the easiest five digits in the world to remember, each one is a real thing to look for, and they are the tags every post carries: market type, two legs, three pushes, zero bias, six bars.
